What is a model card?
A standardized document describing an AI model — intended use, data, performance, limitations, risks. Originated at Google (Mitchell et al. 2019). Required format for Hugging Face and increasingly expected by EU AI Act Annex IV.
Why generate one?
Regulatory: EU AI Act high-risk systems need technical documentation. Transparency: downstream users need to know limitations. Internal: onboarding, audits, bug post-mortems reference it.
How long should it be?
