Frequently Asked Questions
Gear ratio formula
Ratio = teeth_driven / teeth_driver. Ratio > 1 = reduction (slower, more torque). Ratio < 1 = overdrive (faster, less torque).
Compound gears
For 2-stage: Total ratio = Stage1 × Stage2. Multiply individual ratios together for final ratio.
